VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team!
Schedule: Full-time opp with rotating Saturdays.
Compensation
$21.00 – $26.00/hour
Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

The Opportunity
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an essential role in patient care and client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys hands-on nursing care, teamwork, and continuing to grow their skills in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with a variety of surgical procedures and treatments
- Calculate, induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
- Monitor vital signs and respond appropriately throughout surgical procedures
- Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care and patient advocacy
- Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and dental radiographs
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Obtain patient histories, exams/TPR, and vaccines
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Support a collaborative team environment focused on outstanding patient care
What We're Looking For
Strong anesthesia knowledge and surgical nursing experience
- Confidence monitoring patients under anesthesia and during recovery
- Experience with dental procedures and dental radiographs
